But right from the start I decided to check out the Nintendo store. Initially, my plans before Igromir were: to buy myself a PS4 through friends at a good price. But alas, there was a bummer with the PS4. Therefore, I considered this option, how to buy myself a Nintendo 3DS. And there were several bundles that immediately attracted me: New Nintendo 3DS + Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for 13,999 rubles. Quite a lot of money, but as a VIP I had a voucher with a 10% discount at my disposal, thanks to which I bought this console for 12,593 rubles. Inside was a box with the console itself, inside which there were also cards for Extended Reality and a promo code for the downloadable Xenoblade Chronicles 3D theme. Next to this main box were smaller ones: one with the game itself, and the other with interchangeable covers for visualizing the console.
After the brow, I decided to try out the stand with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. I haven’t played the previous parts, except for a very long time ago in Call of Duty 2. Therefore, I was not familiar with all the ups and downs of the series. We launched 12 people at once: 6 in one team (green), 6 in another (red). They gave us time to prepare, but the interface was not very clear. That’s why even after two rounds I still didn’t understand which team I was on. But in the end there was one victory for each team. Two modes were shown: with capturing points and capturing tokens after killing an enemy. But many of those playing were obvious PeKa-boyars, because their aiming at enemies was a little… sluggish: this is where my gamepad playing skills helped me. I wouldn’t say that I pulled it off, but I played pretty well.
Afterwards I went to the Playstation VR stands, where they said that the queue had already been formed… in the end I didn’t try it in all 4 days. I tried to get onto one more car (photo below), but again, it’s unlikely that I got into it because of the long line.
It would be interesting to feel yourself inside this car, especially upside down
So I decided to go https://casinoandfriends.net/games/ back to my brother, who was waiting for me outside, and look for the Shore House cafe where Ubidays was held. We had an appointment at 14:00, but by that time due to some circumstances we were late. But we hoped that they would let us through. However, the Google map showed us a completely different place, which is why we were even more late: we spent a very long time searching and asking people. Fortunately, workers at the “My Home” shopping center helped.
And we approached this restaurant only at 17:30… They let us through, but they said that since we were so late, they would only allow us to play for 30 minutes. Well, we’re upset, but nothing can be done. I went straight to the Rainbow Six: Siege stand, where…I immediately merged x) Well, it’s okay, it happens. They gave me a stamp. And yes, stamps also played a role here. Then I went to The Crew, or rather to the addition to this game. I rode around a bit in free mode, caught a couple of bugs (where would Ubisoft be without bugs) and had some fun. I was offered to turn on the drift mode and I did not refuse, but the impressions from this drift were not the most positive: drift control is a bit difficult, in case of accidents points do not burn out, as happens in other races, which sometimes made it possible to accumulate additional ones with the help of a ram from the wall x) However, one of the reasons could be precisely what was in my hands: I am Sonyboy, and they give me Juan’s gamepad… which lies unpleasantly in my hands. But there was not enough experience.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos from UbiDays, so… there will just be concept art
Next I decided to evaluate The Division. What immediately caught my eye: cutting down of graphics and even some pixelation. Although this could be a combination of Juan (yes, the Microsoft console again) and a large TV. But something tells me… well, you understand. The game mode was: 3 VS 3 VS 3, a total of 9 people played. First we had to get to the evacuation point, fighting with local bots. It was some kind of training. And again, the controls are not very familiar, I especially didn’t like the cover system: to quickly take another cover, you need to press A twice (the cover button), which was not explained to us. You cannot move in a squat without cover. In the center of the map (which was closed and with respawns, there was no hint of an open world yet), having killed all the bots, the players started a war between each other in order to give the helicopter information. And then my team lost (well, you understand, because of whom x)).
The full interface appears only when aiming… which can also sometimes play a cruel joke (there is only one cartridge left, and you won’t know). And yes, in comparison the interface itself has been redesigned to be more beautiful compared to what is presented here
Next up is Assassins Creed: Syndicate. What seemed to me was that the difficulty was small, there are still bugs (fortunately not as critical as in Unity), but it was interesting to play. Played as Eevee. And again – there was no training. Fortunately, an employee of this event was nearby and suggested what and how to do. Well, she also gave out posters (and there was almost an unlimited quantity, so I took 5 of them for myself and my friends).
And after the Syndicate, I played the last game for me, but not for Ubidays: ANNO 2205. It was just an alpha version where you had to go into space. Very nice and clear strategy. Finally, against the backdrop of a lack of fish in economic (and other) strategies, there will be another good project. But we were immediately warned not to press the “” keys, otherwise the game would crash.
And this is where my adventures on Ubisoft projects ended. My brother managed to try out Heroes of Might and Magic 7, but did not play ANNO. We didn’t even notice that the clock struck 19:00 (we were allowed to play for half an hour, but we stayed in the building for an hour and a half, lucky). At the end, in addition to posters, we were given various things. And which ones depended on the collected stamps: I had an 8 GB flash drive with The Division logo and a Siege sticker… and that’s all. Apparently the attendance of the event on other days affected. And my brother also got a themed T-shirt for the heroes. There was also Just Dance (probably), but children were dancing there, so we didn’t interfere). And we both agreed that the event from Ubisoft turned out to be even better than Igromir itself: there were minimal queues, since the time was fixed, guaranteed prizes, and most importantly: it was completely free and only for people over 18 years old (I don’t know how children got there, maybe they were brought by the organizers). There was just a problem with Google maps.
Prizes from Ubisoft… at least what has survived to us
Well, the last thing I wanted to show before closing this blog on Igromir days is, of course, cosplays.
